Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City is seeking an attentive Nursing Support/PCT to provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Room. This 40-hour-per-week role supports clinical staff and helps ensure timely patient flow.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, CNA or EMT certification, and a willingness to work day shifts. Benefits include parental leave, daily pay options, and tuition coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 10 years of work experience.
• CNA certification preferred or EMT basic certification.
• Nursing student with fundamentals course may be eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assists in collection of labs, coordinating patient flow with radiology to assist with turnaround times.
• Assists with transfer and transportation of patients and records vital signs; notifies RN of significant findings.
• Obtains EKGs for patients in emergent/urgent situations as able.
• Answers phones, relays messages, and supports routine cleaning and room turnover.
