Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to support front-line patient care. Working under a Registered Nurse, you will assist with patient care, vital signs, and daily activities to keep patients safe and comfortable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of patient care experience in a healthcare facility or CNA experience.
• South Carolina CNA registration or SC EMT certification required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands‑on care to patients within your training and certification scope.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, walking and activities of daily living.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable patient environment.
• Change bed linens and assist with patient transport to tests and procedures.
• Obtain and record temperatures and vital signs under the direction of a nurse.
