Job summary

MultiCare’s off-campus Emergency Departments provide state-of-the-art, neighborhood-focused ER care across Washington. The Emergency Services Technician role supports patient care and clinical procedures while collaborating with a team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Applicants should hold a High School Diploma or GED and WA CNA/NA-R/MA-P/MA-C or EMT certification, plus a current BLS. 0.01 FTE with 12‑hour shifts and varying schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Washington state CNA/NA-R/MA-P/MA-C or EMT certification.
• MA-P or EMT must obtain NA-R within 180 days of hire.
• CNA/NA-R/EMT must obtain MA-P within required date; Yakima location exception.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Experience as CNA/NA-R/corpsman/EMT in ED/acute care in last 3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing direct patient care as directed by health care practitioner.
• Engage critical thinking to maintain a safe, therapeutic, and aesthetic environment.
• Use nursing knowledge to deliver care using the nursing process per hospital policies and protocols.
• Collaborate with team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
• Foster a learning environment for patients/families, staff, and health care team.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care respecting diversity.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Washington state CNA/NA-R/MA-P/MA-C or EMT certification

MA-P or EMT to NA-R within 180 days

MA-P required to obtain within specified date

Current BLS Certification

Prior ED/acute care experience (3 years)
