Job summary

MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital is hiring an Emergency Services Technician to support direct patient care and collaborate across a clinical team. You will assist with nursing processes, ensure patient safety, and contribute to high-quality care in a fast-paced ED setting.

Ideal candidates hold a CNA/NA-R/EMT credential, BLS, and are prepared to obtain MA-P if required. The role offers night shifts, 10-hour shifts, and a strong team-oriented culture in Yakima, WA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Washington state certification/licensure as a CNA or NA-R, MA-P, MA-C or EMT training.
• MA-P or EMT must obtain NA-R within 180 days of hire.
• CNA/NA-R/EMT must obtain MA-P within the specified date; Mary Bridge Hospital and Yakima locations do not require MA-P.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Experience as CNA/NA-R/corpsman/EMT in ED/pre-hospital/acute care setting in last 3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing direct patient care as directed by health care practitioner.
• Engage critical thinking to maintain a safe, therapeutic and aesthetic environment.
• Utilize nursing knowledge to deliver care using the nursing process per hospital policies/procedures/protocols.
• Collaborate with the team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and reduce costs.
• Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and other health care team members.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting autonomy, dignity, and health of diverse patients.
