Job summary

Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Patient Access Representative to collect patient information, verify benefits, and collect payments at the point of service. You will also explain forms and assist families with registration in a patient-centered environment.

In this role you will maintain privacy, support the admissions process, and participate in ongoing training to improve service quality across shifts in a busy ER department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective English communication (read, write, speak, understand).
• Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient demographic, insurance, and financial information for outpatient services and inpatient admissions.
• Verifies benefits, obtains authorizations as needed, and collects co-pays/deductibles at the point of service to expedite the admitting process.
• Provides a positive first impression of the facility.
• Ensures all required demographic, billing, and clinical data are entered accurately in the registration system.
