Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking an Access Associate Lead for United Memorial Medical Center - North Street Campus in the Emergency Room to uphold high-quality customer care.

This Full-Time, Days role leads a team of associates, oversees registration, verification and billing activities, and ensures accurate patient information and timely scheduling. Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with rotation for every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and take direction.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leadership. Mentor, coach and encourage assigned team of associates, facilitate an effective workflow; assist with orientation, training, performance evaluations and disciplinary measures, under the direction of a supervisor/manager.
• Customer Service. Manage incoming calls and provide necessary information; greet patients and/or their representatives, provide direction as needed; schedule patient appointments; interview patients and/or their representatives to obtain necessary information.
• Registration & Verification. Complete the registration process for patients and/or their representatives as defined by departmental policy; verify insurance eligibility/coverage and obtain necessary pre-certifications/authorizations when applicable.
• Billing & Payments. Collect/process co-payments, deductibles and/or other types of payments; provide cost estimates when applicable; review charges in charge review WQs for completeness and accuracy.
