Wolfe Research is seeking an experienced Associate for its NY-based Extel-ranked Chemicals, Agriculture & Packaging Team. The role supports modeling, note writing and differentiating research analyses, with responsibilities expanding to client and sales/trader communications.

The candidate should have 1-3 years in sell-side research or related fields, a finance-focused degree, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills. MBA/CPA/CFA is a plus; expect long hours in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years sell-side research experience; chemicals/materials/energy (midstream) or industrials preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or higher with a Finance/Accounting/Math/Statistics focus.
• MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus.
• Advanced understanding of financial modeling and experience building and maintaining 3-statement models.
• Fully licensed with Series 7, 63, 86 & 87 or expected to be completed within 6 months.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum 3.5 GPA.
• Comfortable working 10+ hour workdays and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Generate ideas, draft reports/notes on investment themes, events, and breaking news.
• Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills; work with large data sets in Excel/Access.
• Communicate effectively with clients, sales/traders and internal teams; concise writing.
• Build and update financial and valuation models for covered companies; use Excel functions and data tools.
• Support the research process with accurate analysis and timely deliverables.
