Job summary

Wolfe Research, LLC seeks an experienced Associate for its NY‑Based Extel‑ranked Chemicals, Agriculture & Packaging Team. The role reports to the Senior Analyst and supports modeling, note writing, and differentiated research analyses.

Responsibilities include client and sales/traders communication and contribution to the creative process. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint skills, with 1–3 years of sell‑side research experience in related sectors, and

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of sell‑side research experience (Chemicals/Materials/Energy or Industrials) or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Math, or Statistics.
• MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus.
• Advanced understanding of financial modeling and 3‑statement models.
• Fully licensed with Series 7, 63, 86 & 87 preferred or to be completed within 6 months.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in fast pace with long hours.
• Minimum 3.5 GPA.

Responsibilities

• Generate ideas and communicate effectively in a time‑sensitive environment.
• Creative problem solving using large data sets in Excel/Access.
• Strong communication skills, especially concise writing.
• Build and update financial and valuation models for covered companies.
• Mastery of Excel functions and data visualization.
