Job summary

The City of New York’s Department of Youth and Community Development seeks a Community Coordinator to support and coordinate with Community Based Organizations serving at-risk, homeless, runaway, and vulnerable youth in New York City. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher and two years of community work experience, or high school diploma and six years of community work experience, or an equivalent combination with at least one year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with staff across the agency to meet equity goals and implement strategies.
Gather and track data on milestones, deliverables, and performance indicators.
Analyze and visualize community data (e.g., demographic data).
Prepare and submit progress reports on agency commitments.
Participate on committees and act as liaison to internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to public outreach and engagement to understand community perspectives.
Support the development and preparation of equity plans and policy recommendations.
