Title: Equity Hedge Fund Technical Account Manager & Onboarding

Location: Midtown, NYC 5x a week

Technology plays a critical role in supporting the firm’s investment platform, enabling Portfolio Managers and their teams with scalable infrastructure, data, analytics, trading solutions, and emerging AI capabilities. In this role, you will act as a strategic technology partner to equity investment teams, ensuring their technology needs are understood, coordinated, and delivered effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technology liaison for Equity Portfolio Managers (including equity long/short) and their investment teams, developing a strong understanding of their workflows, priorities, and technology requirements.
• Lead technology planning and onboarding for new investment teams, beginning during the recruiting process and continuing through their integration into the firm.
• Engage with incoming and existing teams to identify day-one technology requirements, as well as longer-term needs related to applications, data, analytics, automation, and AI.
• Develop and maintain detailed technology profiles for each investment team, tracking requirements, outstanding issues, responsible parties, and expected delivery timelines.
• Work closely with Business Management, Operations, Trading, Data, Engineering, and other internal partners to coordinate technology initiatives and ensure effective execution.
• Translate investment professionals’ needs into clear business and technical requirements that can be understood and acted upon by technology and development teams.
• Monitor implementation progress, identify potential issues or dependencies, and provide timely updates and escalation to relevant stakeholders and senior management.
• Build trusted relationships with senior investment professionals while ensuring technology initiatives remain aligned with broader business priorities.

Qualifications & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in relationship management, technical account management, product management, project management, or a comparable client-facing technology role.
• Experience within financial services, with direct exposure to equity long/short investment professionals and their technology needs.
• Strong knowledge of equity investment processes, including fundamental research, portfolio construction, trading, and risk management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish credibility with both senior investment professionals and technology/engineering leadership.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, stakeholders, dependencies, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly the ability to understand complex business needs and translate them into structured requirements for technology teams.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment while maintaining ownership and accountability across multiple workstreams.
