Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team responsible for hedge fund accounting deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Oversee month‑end close processes and review NAV calculations
• Manage the production of investor allocations and calculation of management and incentive fees
• Review and post accounting entries to the general ledger
• Support ad‑hoc reporting and client deliverables
• Work across a wide range of financial instruments including bonds, swaps, CDOs, ABS, equities, options, FX, repos, and futures
• Partner with global teams to reconcile cash and securities, price portfolios, and validate daily P&L
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between accounting and trade entry systems
• Liaise with auditors and support year‑end financial statement preparation
• Mentor, develop, and provide ongoing guidance to team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
• Master’s degree and/or CPA is a strong plus
• 6–8+ years of experience in accounting or back‑office operations within a Prime Broker, Fund Administrator, Hedge Fund, Investment Advisor, or Audit firm
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and corporate actions
• Experience with a variety of financial products including equities, fixed income, repos, futures, FX, mortgages, and options
• Advanced Excel skills
• Proven supervisory experience with strong delegation and team leadership abilities
