Senior Project Manager – Hedge Fund Technology Transition

Hybrid – 3–4 Days per Week in New York

6-Month Contract (Potential Extension)

We are partnering with a leading Asset Management business undergoing significant technology modernization and platform build-out. They are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of critical technology and infrastructure initiatives supporting the evolution of their investment management platform.

This is a high-visibility role requiring strong ownership, structured delivery, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving hedge fund environment.

You will manage multiple concurrent initiatives spanning:

• Trading & execution platforms (OMS/EMS and shadow booking solutions)
• Risk & treasury system selection and implementation
• CRM and sales technology rollouts
• Core platform enhancements and application rationalization
• Vendor onboarding, integration, and implementation governance
• Cross-platform system dependencies and release sequencing
• Transitional Service Agreement (TSA) oversight alongside program leadership

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery across a portfolio of technology initiatives
• Build and manage integrated project plans, dependency maps, and delivery roadmaps
• Establish governance frameworks, reporting cadence, and executive communications
• Lead vendor implementations including integration, cutover, and stabilization
• Manage risks related to data migration, integrations, and environment readiness
• Maintain RAID logs, decision registers, and executive dashboards
• Act as the central coordination point between internal technology teams and third-party vendors

What We’re Looking For

• 10–15+ years of project/program management within asset management, hedge funds, or financial services
• Deep understanding of front-to-back investment management systems (trading, market data, risk, treasury, CRM)
• Proven track record managing vendor-led technology programs
• Strong governance, communication, and senior stakeholder engagement skills
• Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, or similar tools
• Ability to operate independently and bring structure to complex environments
