Job summary

Mary's Place in Seattle is seeking a Children and Youth Specialist to support Kids Club and Teen Club programs for youth ages 5–18. The role emphasizes youth safety, development, and engaging activities while advancing Mary's Place racial equity initiatives.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, located at the Regrade downtown Seattle site, with a starting pay of $25 per hour, DOE. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or two years in relevant work experience preferred.
• Multilingual applicants (Spanish) highly preferred.
• Experience facilitating activities for children of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaged presence and leadership for programs and activities.
• Ensure a healthy and safe environment and maintain facilities.
• Assist with planning, development, implementation and evaluation.
• Collect attendance and behavior data for Kids Club and Teen Club.
• Maintain confidentiality of membership and school data.
• Model mature work behaviors for a productive environment.
• Set up and clean program areas daily.
• Facilitate youth programming including homework support and games.
• Deliver High Yield Learning Activities.
• Affirm positive behavior and provide coaching when needed.
