Job summary

Mary’s Place seeks an Early Childhood Support Staff member for the Tots Club program at the Regrade shelter in Seattle. This part-time, non-exempt role supports children ages 0-5 and their caregivers, focusing on safety, development, and positive youth outcomes through Circle Time, play, snacks, and outings.

You will engage in resource navigation, data tracking, and crisis management while helping create an inclusive, racially equitable environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Multilingual ability (Spanish/Portuguese) preferred.
• Experience facilitating activities for children 0-5.
• Understanding of youth development principles and positive motivation.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for programs and activities that support youth development for ages 0-5.
• Offer resource navigation to caregivers related to childcare and developmental screenings/referrals.
• Maintain a healthy, safe environment and manage facilities and supplies.
• Assist with planning and evaluating services and activities.
• Track attendance and behavior data of Tots Club members.
• Maintain confidentiality of member data and information.
• Model professional work behavior and ensure daily setup/cleanup of programs.
