Mary’s Place in Seattle seeks a Housing Specialist to support families in shelters in securing permanent housing. You will assess needs, document progress, and collaborate with teams to connect guests with housing resources while upholding Mary’s Place mission and racial equity commitments.

This full-time role requires strong organizational and communication skills and may require some evenings or weekends. Salary ranges $27–$29 per hour DOE, with benefits and room for growth.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in social services or related field or equivalent experience in shelter or case management.
• Experience in shelter settings or with homeless population preferred.
• Ability to document and track progress and funder requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Work with families to set housing goals, identify barriers, and develop housing plans.
• Complete vulnerability and housing assessments and screening reports.
• Use Mary’s Place database to assess options and document progress.
• Proactively seek housing opportunities and assist with applications to housing authorities.
• Address barriers to housing including documentation, funding and immigration-related issues.
• Coordinate with Shelter Advocates and other teams to refer guests to internal resources.
• Cover multiple shelter sites as needed and refer to external providers when necessary.
