Job summary

City of Austin's Equity and Inclusion - Human Rights Division seeks a Policy Compliance Consultant to lead strategic initiatives advancing human rights and equitable outcomes for Austin residents.

You will oversee implementation of mitigations from the Human Rights Impact Review, coordinate cross-departmental and community efforts across multiple human rights areas, and manage projects from planning through implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the job with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience analyzing policy and managing complex programs.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to human rights and equity.

Responsibilities

• Assists leadership teams with planning and development of work products using policy analysis methods.
• Develops and implements cross-functional, large projects and teams.
• Establishes program standards, methods, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinates with multiple stakeholders involved in or affected by programs or policies.
• Conducts systematic policy analysis and reports findings clearly and concisely.
• Monitors program effectiveness and implements improvement strategies.
• Develops, manages, and monitors the program budget and resources.
• Delivers presentations to stakeholders, boards, commissions, and the public.
