Job summary

California State University, Fresno is seeking a Coordinator for African American/Black Student Support. The role designs and evaluates identity-informed student success initiatives to promote persistence, retention, and belonging among Black students, aligning services with campus data.

You will engage directly with students, provide academic mentoring, and manage cases, contributing to center-wide retention efforts through coordinated care, data analysis, and cross-campus collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years relevant experience in student services.
• Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Experience with identity development and belonging-centered programming.
• Experience with data-informed decision making.
• Experience within CSU system beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and assess identity-informed student success initiatives.
• Provide direct student engagement, mentoring, and case-managed support.
• Analyze data to demonstrate program effectiveness and inform decisions.
• Coordinate care and cross-campus collaboration for student success.
• Allocate 40% of responsibilities to planning and 60% to direct support.
• Develop workshops and community-building activities.
