Job summary

NYC Kids RISE is seeking a Deputy Director of Procurement & Operations to oversee purchasing systems, vendor strategy, and grant compliance across the organization. You will ensure rigorous, equitable, and fully compliant procurement practices and lead critical vendor relationships.

The role requires strong project management, public funding familiarity, and a commitment to embedding equity in operational infrastructure to support NYC Kids RISE's Save for College Program.

Qualifications

• At least 4–6 years of procurement or operations experience.
• ,
• Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
• Commitment to economic opportunity and equitable funding.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Excel, Asana, or Airtable.

Responsibilities

• Build, refine, and maintain scalable procurement systems, SOPs, and vendor vetting/onboarding workflows.
• Manage RFP processes with equitable vendor selection and department-led initiatives.
• Coordinate procurement initiatives and inventory management across departments.
• Lead contract drafting with legal and compliance, and manage vendor relationships.
• Design and implement equitable procurement practices across programs and functions.
• Collaborate with Operations to support program initiatives and grants.
