Job summary

The Department of Education of the City of New York seeks an experienced procurement and contracts professional to lead ONPCS contract management, procurement operations, and grant administration across five boroughs.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Budget and HR, you will supervise procurement analysts, ensure policy compliance, prepare RFPs and budget sheets, and coordinate with DCP, NYCPS divisions and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, or JD with relevant experience.
• Graduate education substituted for experience with limits; 18 months of executive/managerial experience required.
• Experience in budget administration, procurement, or grants management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategizes and implements contract management procedures.
• Provides guidance on vendors, contracts, and procurement rules to stakeholders.
• Reviews contracts and bids for compliance with purchasing procedures.
• Leads development of RFPs and emergency contracts, coordinating with DCP.
