Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician for the MD Fill A2 Night Shift (6pm–6:30am, Sun/Tue and every other Sat). The role focuses on preventive and demand maintenance and supports senior technicians in diverse maintenance tasks.

The position offers vocational training to broaden multi-craft skills and a chance to grow within a GMP/compliant pharmaceutical environment, with shift differential for night work.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or certificate; technical school preferred.
• Experience setting up production/manufacturing equipment and troubleshooting.
• Ability to use basic power tools and proper hand tools in an industrial setting.
• Requires aseptic gown certification in the future; mechanical/electrical experience preferred.

Job Description

This is our MD Fill, A2Night Shift: 6pm-6:30am Sunday/Monday/Tuesday & every other Saturday

This position is an entry level maintenance position. This role will serve as a primary resource on preventive and demand maintenance activities within their current skill set while supporting Senior technicians with more advanced tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Abbvie’s Code of Business Conduct
• Understands and follows all GMP and Safety regulations
• Work with Sr Level Technicians across several areas of Maintenance to build a diverse, multi-craft foundation for their career in the Skilled Trades with the intent of building skills and developing into a higher-level Technician.
• Perform Preventive and Demand Maintenance activities, support Predictive Maintenance activities.
• Vocational training to increase skill set and knowledge across multiple maintenance functions.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up production/manufacturingequipment and troubleshooting
• Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
• HS diploma with 0+ yrs. experience or Relevant Certificate. Completion or current enrollment in a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance desired.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
• Must have the ability to become aseptic gown certified
• Mechanical and electrical experience highly preferred
• Industrial machine repair and maintenance experience highly preferred
