Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician for MA Packaging on a 7am–7:30pm shift (Thu–Sat and alternating Wednesdays). This role supports preventive and demand maintenance activities within its skill set while assisting Senior Technicians.

The position focuses on using basic power and hand tools in an industrial setting with emphasis on safety and GMP compliance. HS diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or technical certificate required.
• Experience with basic power tools and hand/m measuring tools is expected.
• Industrial maintenance fundamentals and safety/regulatory awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to AbbVie’s Code of Business Conduct.
• Understand and follow GMP and Safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Senior Technicians across maintenance areas to build foundational skills and advance in the trades.

This is our MA Packaging, B1 shift 7am-7:30pm Thursday/Friday/Saturday & every other

This position is an entry level maintenance position. This role will serve as a primary resource on preventive and demand maintenance activities within their current skill set while supporting Senior technicians with more advanced tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Abbvie’s Code of Business Conduct


• Understands and follows all GMP and Safety regulations


• Work with Sr Level Technicians across several areas of Maintenance to build a diverse, multi-craft foundation for their career in the Skilled Trades with the intent of building skills and developing into a higher-level Technician.


• Perform Preventive and Demand Maintenance activities, support Predictive Maintenance activities.

Vocational training to increase skill set and knowledge across multiple maintenance functions.

• Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.


• HS diploma requiredwith 0+ yrs. experience or Relevant Certificate. Completion or current enrollment in a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance desired. Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
