United Ag & Turf NE is seeking a Service Writer to support the Service Department with customer service needs, open and close work orders, and oversee shop operations and field service activities. You will advise customers on technical problems, prepare quotes for repairs, schedule work orders, process warranty claims, and help maintain timely, high-quality service delivery for equipment and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in Service Department operations.
• Experience with John Deere Equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on technical problems and schedule service needs.
• Prepare and update work orders; manage pre-delivery and reconditioning tasks.
• Coordinate shop and field service work and parts and labor estimates.
• Process warranty claims.
• Schedule and monitor workshops, field service, and delivery of equipment.
• Ensure timely closing of work orders to meet goals.
• Support Service Manager and supervise shop activities when absent.
• Pursue available training to develop skills.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and customers.
