United Ag & Turf NE is seeking a Service Writer to support the Service Department with customer service needs, open/close of work orders, and coordination of shop and field service activities. The role includes handling pre-delivery checks, repair and reconditioning of equipment, and assisting with delivery functions.

Qualifications include strong communication and organizational skills, high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with John Deere equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in service department operations preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based functions.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on technical problems and schedule service needs.
• Open and close work orders and manage shop tasks.
• Coordinate field service work and delivery of equipment.
• Process warranty claims.
• Ensure timely work order completion to meet goals.
• Oversee shop activities when the Service Manager is away.
• Pursue training to grow knowledge and skills.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and peers.
