Equipment Service Technician

Position Summary

Are you mechanically inclined with a knack for hands-on work? Do you enjoy a flexible schedule and working independently, but also have the support of a team? The Equipment Service Technician is a remote-based, customer-facing role, primarily working inside hospitals. You will troubleshoot and repair medical equipment used in surgical procedures, as well as provide installation support on complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic units.

Responsibilities

1. Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of STERIS and competitor equipment, systems, and components.
2. Manage time effectively to prioritize customer and business needs, completing PMs, service calls, warranty calls, installations, upgrades, and other duties.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate issues, utilize technology platforms for compliance and troubleshooting documentation.
4. Provide customers with information, pricing, and repair options; build relationships with sales to enhance customer experience and revenue.
5. Support various locations within the territory based on service agreements and customer needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant experience; technical certifications or military experience may be considered.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet background and physical assessments for credentialing.
• Customer service and team engagement experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency.
• Flexibility for schedule changes, including potential overnight and early/late hours.

Pay range: $25.48 - $35.71, with eligibility for bonuses. Pay rates depend on experience, education, certifications, and other factors.
