Job summary

Intralox, based in Baltimore, seeks an Equipment Safety Engineer to lead safety compliance for modular conveyors and integrated systems. You will own safety processes, drive improvements, and contribute to cross-functional safety initiatives across global teams.

Ideal candidates have strong ISO 12100 risk assessment experience, knowledge of OSHA/ASME and EU directives, and a willingness to travel up to 25%. This role supports safety in design and verification across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Safety Engineering.
• 5+ years in equipment safety, compliance or design engineering.
• Experience with standalone equipment and integrated systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA/ASME and EU Machinery Regulation.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments per ISO 12100.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to design safety processes for automated equipment.
• Expand safety processes to include integrated multi-equipment systems.
• Develop and deliver training on safety processes for design/engineering teams.
• Conduct safety risk assessments for equipment and systems.
• Verify safety design compliance through reviews and prototype validation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align safety practices.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Safety Engineering

5+ years of experience in equipment safety, compliance, or design engineering

ISO 12100 risk assessment experience

Strong communication and training abilities

Willing to travel up to 25%

Tools

CMSE or equivalent certifications

Functional Safety certification (TÜV, CFSE)
