Job summary

Intralox L.L.C. is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician for our Sparrows Point, MD location. This onsite role requires periodic travel to Hanover, MD and occasional out-of-state trips to support facility operations.

The technician will perform preventive maintenance and repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel as needed.

• General repairs on building systems and equipment (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, production equipment).
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs on building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve facility issues safely and effectively.
• Support facility upgrades, installations, relocations, and building modification projects.
• Operate forklifts, manlifts, scrubbers, pressure washers, and groundskeeping machinery.
• Use the work order system for documentation, communication, and tracking tasks.
• Assist with small renovation and continuous improvement projects.
• Comply with safety standards and company policies.
• Travel between buildings and to out-of-state locations as needed.
• Overtime may be required to support schedules.

This is an onsite position. This position requires travel to our Hanover, MD location every 6 weeks and out of state travel up to 6 times per year.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs on building systems and equipment (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, production equipment).
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and facility issues safely and effectively.
• Support facility upgrades, installations, relocations, and building modification projects.
• Operate tools and equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, scrubbers, pressure washers, and groundskeeping machinery.
• Utilize the work order management system for documentation, communication, and task tracking.
• Assist with small renovation and continuous improvement projects.
• Comply with all company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Travel to multiple buildings and to out-of-state locations as needed to support facility operations.
• Work overtime as required to support production schedules and project timelines, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Five (5) years or more of general maintenance experience or equivalent technical experience gained through military service or trade/technical school programs.
• Strong willingness to learn and continuously develop new skills.
• High proficiency in using tablets, smartphones, and computers as part of daily work processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence, professionalism, and positive, solutions focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and perform repairs with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and meet all physical requirements.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be physically able and willing to drive forklifts, scissor lifts, and other powered industrial equipment as required.
• Ability and willingness to travel between greater Baltimore company buildings to include national travel to other states as needed. Willing to travel internationally if needed.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
• Team oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certifications or licenses in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing disciplines.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with CMMS systems.
• Interest in pursuing additional education, such as trade seminars, technical classes, and industry certifications, to support ongoing professional development.
