Job summary

Radford University seeks an Equipment Repair Technician to maintain and repair motor vehicles and grounds care equipment. The role is a 40-hour week (M-F 8:00–5:00) with occasional evenings and weekends and reports to the FM Vehicle Maint & Rep department.

Requires basic auto mechanics training or experience, knowledge of engine and electrical systems, and a valid driver’s license; CDL or ability to obtain one is required.

Job Description

To provide maintenance and repair to motor vehicles and grounds care equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Basic automobile mechanic training or experience. Knowledge of internal combustion engines, drive train, brake system and electrical system of automobiles.
• Motor vehicle operator's license required. Commercial driver's license, or ability to obtain, required.
• Position designated as essential personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer high school graduate with some formal auto mechanics school or training.
