Job summary

Toyota North America in Princeton, IN, seeks an Equipment and Process Engineer for the Body Weld Pilot Department. The role focuses on leading equipment and process development for new model projects, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity KPIs during launches and model changes.

Reporting to the Pilot Engineering and Maintenance Manager, you will coordinate with multiple internal teams and vendors, manage budgets, and drive improvements through the lifecycle of pilot projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in equipment specifications, design, install and validation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate body design and equipment for safety, quality, and productivity aligned with KPIs.
• Lead equipment and process development for new model projects through validation.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Logistics and QE groups on project execution.
• Manage budget justification, scheduling, installation, and handover to Production.
• Facilitate problem solving during planning, setup, and trial phases.
• Support Production and implement Field Study and Countermeasure activities.
