Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in Sulphur, LA is seeking an Equipment Associate in the Matting Solutions Division. You will perform a variety of manual tasks to support service technicians, sales staff and other branch personnel engaged in meeting customer needs.

This position promotes safety, teamwork and strong customer service as you check equipment, load and unload rentals, and prepare equipment for delivery. Excellence opens the door to advancement programs within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication, multi-tasking and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to safety and customer service.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage on return and ensure safety decals are present.
• Inspect equipment to ensure good working order and safety compliance.
• Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load/unload rental equipment and prepare it for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment to customers and drive delivery truck as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
