Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate to support service technicians, sales staff, and branch personnel. You will perform a variety of manual tasks to ensure smooth branch operation and assist with delivering and setting up rental equipment.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and strong customer service as you help meet customer needs and support everyday branch activities. This position offers growth into our Driver and Service Technician development programs.

Qualifications

• Must have clear communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced team.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe operations.
• Proven customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. repeatedly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and ensure good working order.
• Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment, and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers and drive a delivery truck for pickup/drop-off.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
