Job summary
United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate to support technicians and sales staff by performing essential equipment handling and prep tasks at the branch.
You will inspect gear, assist with loading/unloading, drive a delivery truck when needed, and help maintain a safe, clean work area while delivering strong customer service.
This role offers opportunities for advancement into our Driver and Service Technician programs and requires safety awareness and teamwork.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Strong communication, multi-tasking and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety and customer service.
- Superior customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
- Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, compliance and good working order.
- Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area.
- Load/unload rental equipment and prepare equipment for rental.
- Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers and drive delivery truck when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
