Job summary

The Levy Group of Companies (Schmidt) is seeking an Equipment Operator in Fountain, CO with a minimum of five years of experience. You will operate Excavator and Dozer to support mining, pond work, and stripping projects.

This full-time role offers overtime as needed, a starting pay of $27 per hour with DOE, and a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k) with employer contributions, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment ( Excavator, Dozer ).
• Ability to perform daily machine inspections and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Excavator and Dozer to support mining, pond work, and stripping activities.
• Perform daily machine inspections.
• Communicate with office and field personnel.
• Inspect grade and elevations correctly.
• Assist maintenance personnel with repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

The Levy Group of Companies (Schmidt) is seeking an Equipment Operator, with at least 5 years of experience, to work at our Fountain, CO location. The Operator will operate heavy equipment, specifically Excavator and Dozer.

Pay: Starting at $27 per hour + DOE

Shift/Schedule: Full Time, overtime as needed

Responsibilities

The Operator will:

• Safely operate Excavator and Dozer
  • Mining - digging and loading haul trucks to feed plant
  • Settling ponds - digging and loading haul trucks to remove material from settling ponds
  • Stripping - digging and loading haul trucks with overburden
  • Various projects as needed
• Performing daily machine inspections
• Communicating with office and field personnel
• Inspect grade and elevations correctly
• Assisting maintenance personnel with repairs
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Skills

• Ability to operate grader, roller, and loader
• Knowledge of materials
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time
• Work outside for an extended period of time
• Ability to communicate well with co-workers, customers, and other departments
• Ability to read and write
• Valid CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain one
