Job summary

Veolia North America is hiring a General Laborer to perform manual labor tasks at our processing site in New Hampshire. The role includes operating equipment such as mechanized broom, Skid Steer, and other machines, maintaining equipment, and performing site cleaning and sorting of materials in all weather conditions.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED and prefer experience on processing or construction sites, with a strong safety mindset and willingness to work overtime

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating small and heavy equipment preferred.
• Experience working on processing and/or construction sites preferred.
• Safety first mentality.

Responsibilities

• Operates construction or power equipment, such as mechanized broom, Skid Steer, High Reach (man lift), and Water Truck.
• General equipment maintenance (greasing, checking oil, refilling fluids, and fueling equipment).
• General compliance and grounds keeping tasks (daily soil pile uncovering/recovering, weed whacking, site cleanup, silt sack replacements).
• Sort through soil and rocks to remove debris from conveyors and/or by hand.
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment.
• Cleaning materials and removal of soil and debris from various equipment.
• Works with and assists other crew members with soil screeners and rock crushing.
• Able to safely use a variety of tools such as hand tools, grinders, saws, pressure washers, etc.
• Assist other crew members and operators as necessary.
