Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a General Laborer to perform manual labor, operate the pre-processing and crushing plant, and help maintain equipment. The role requires outdoor work in all seasons and may include overtime and weekend shifts.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and prioritize safety. Experience with processing or construction sites is preferred, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating small and heavy equipment preferred.
• Experience working on processing and/or construction sites preferred.
• Safety first mentality.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment such as mechanized broom, Skid Steer, High Reach (man lift), and Water Truck.
• Performs general equipment maintenance (greasing, oil checks, fluids, fueling).
• Grounds keeping tasks (soil pile uncovering/recovering, weed whacking, site cleanup).
• Sorts soil and rocks to remove debris from conveyors or by hand.
• Inspects and performs routine maintenance on equipment; reports defects.
• Cleans equipment and removes soil/debris.
• Assists other crew members with soil screeners and rock crushing.
• Uses hand tools, grinders, saws, pressure washers safely.
