Job summary

Clean Earth, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator in Connecticut to operate a front-end loader and other heavy equipment. You will perform inspections, assist with truck movements, and maintain a clean work area while following safety procedures.

The role requires 3+ years of loader experience, the ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly, and English proficiency. This position supports outdoor, outdoor operations with potential overtime in various shifts.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of front-end loader experience.
  • Experience with haul truck, water truck, telehandler, skid steer, or excavator is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a front-end loader safely and efficiently.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections and grease fittings as needed.
  • Spot for trucks entering and leaving the process area.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
  • Fill in for operations or maintenance as needed.
  • Participate in pre- and post-shift safety meetings.
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies.

The Equipment Operator will be responsible for safe and efficient operation primarily using a front-end loader and the occasional operation of other heavy equipment to transport earthen material, process equipment, and components. Additional responsibilities include performing physical and manual labor-related tasks such as maintenance, cleaning and manually material sorting

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Safe and efficient operation primarily using a front-end loader.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections and grease fittings as needed prior to operation of equipment.
  • Provide guidance and serve as a spotter for trucks arriving and departing from the process operations.
  • Maintain clean process operations, ensuring that both work area and equipment remain free from clutter. Responsible for ensuring that work area is clean and organized at the end of the shift.
  • Willingness to fill in for operations and/or maintenance staff as needed.
  • Participate in pre-shift and post-shift safety and operational meetings.
  • Adhere to all company and governmental safety regulations.
  • Perform other reasonably related tasks and additional duties as assigned by supervisor/management
Qualifications:
Basic Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
  • 3+ years of experience operating, >3yrfront-end loader.
  • Experience operating of heavy equipment including haul truck, water truck, telehandler forklift, skid steer, and excavator a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude/ability a plus
  • Ability to speak, understand and write in English.
  • Ability to walk over uneven surfaces and climb onto equipment.
  • Ability to bend and to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in hot and cold temperatures.
  • Must be able to work in a busy, often distracting work environment.
  • Willingness and ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, hearing protection and Tyvek coveralls.
  • Capability to work overtime and various shifts which may include weekends.
  • Good work ethic, self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to deal politely and professionally with coworkers and company visitors
  • Ability to follow directions or instruction
  • Ability to use a computer to access training portals
Additional Information:

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $25.50
