Job summary

Sims Limited in Oklahoma is seeking a material handler/operator to assist unloading customers and loading trailers, using a loader, forklift, or similar equipment. You will inspect incoming material and grade accordingly, with duties including starting engine, shifting gears, and maintaining the equipment.

Requirements include 3–5 years of heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, and comfortable use of a respirator.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand instructions, procedures, correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload customer’s trucks/vehicles.
• Operate loader by starting engine, shifting gears, and steering.
• Perform routine maintenance on loader (lubricating, fueling, cleaning).
• Complete inspection reports prior to using equipment.
• Maintain safety for customers and employees in the work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Operates material handler (grapple/magnet), front end loader, skid steer, or forklift to assist unloading customers and load trailers to prepare for transport of scrap materials. Inspects incoming material and grades accordingly.

Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulic powered bucket or forks to lift and transport bulk material to and from storage or processing areas by performing the following duties:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Load and unload customer’s trucks/vehicles.
• Starts engine, shift gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader.
• Performs routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Completes inspection report prior to using equipment.
• Responsible for customer & employee safety in and around work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
