The South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) plans, develops, coordinates, and funds services for individuals with severe, lifelong disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and similar conditions.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including medical, criminal background, child abuse and neglect registry, driving record, and educational verification. The position may require immunizations and adherence to the State Disaster Plan. The department supports a referral incentive and retention bonus program.
