Job description

Job Title: Assistant Branch Supervisor III

Location: Fort Mill Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Branch Offices in Fort Mill, SC

Responsibilities
  1. Serve as manager-in-training to provide frontline leadership, handle customer inquiries professionally, and coordinate daily office operations.
  2. Supervise personnel matters including hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and ensure employees meet career program requirements.
  3. Oversee office operations, customer service, testing programs, and examiner utilization. Register applicants for motor voter and/or selective service as required.
  4. Reconcile daily activity reports, manage funds and secure audited documents. Assist in bank deposits and routine equipment maintenance.
  5. Assist the public with driver and vehicle transactions, administer knowledge tests, and respond to inquiries via various channels.
  6. Maintain inventory of supplies and accountable items, and perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience; an equivalent combination may be accepted with prior approval.
  • Complete a criminal background check and certification to administer CDL knowledge and skills tests.
  • Knowledge of DMV laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Proficiency in computer skills and DMV management software.
  • Ability to make decisions in the best interest of the agency, provide excellent customer service, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work involves sitting, standing, and computer use; limited overtime may be required.
Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma and relevant program experience.
