Job Title: Assistant Branch Supervisor III

Location: Fort Mill Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Branch Offices, Fort Mill, SC

Position Overview

Are you a team player capable of working collaboratively and managing multiple tasks? We seek an outgoing, dedicated, passionate leader ready to oversee daily operations at our Fort Mill DMV branch. Join us if you're eager to make a difference!

Responsibilities
  1. Serve as manager-in-training to lead frontline operations, ensuring professional and timely customer service, including directing, planning, and coordinating daily office activities.
  2. Supervise personnel matters such as hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and monitor career development programs.
  3. Oversee branch operations, customer service, testing programs, and examiner utilization, including registration for motor voter and selective service if required.
  4. Reconcile daily reports, manage cash and accountable monies, secure building, and assist in bank deposits and equipment maintenance.
  5. Assist the public by administering knowledge tests, processing driver and vehicle transactions, and responding to inquiries via in-person, email, or phone.
  6. Maintain inventory and prepare requisitions, including accountability reports.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Additional Notes

The position may require relocation within 30 miles of the current office, based on business needs.

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma and relevant experience or an approved equivalent.
  • Complete a nationwide criminal background check, including fingerprints, and obtain certification to administer CDL knowledge and skills tests, including completion of a CDL examiner course.
Additional Qualifications
  • Knowledge of DMV laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Phoenix, and management abilities as outlined by the Branch Office Manager.
  • Ability to make decisions in the best interest of the agency to ensure high customer service levels.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a climate-controlled office setting, with potential for prolonged sitting and computer use. Limited overtime may be required.

High school diploma and relevant program experience.
