Job summary

Jackson County, Missouri seeks a Parks + Rec Maintenance Worker in Lee's Summit to support foremen and supervisors with project management, operate maintenance equipment, and perform asset and infrastructure improvements. Daily tasks follow SOPs and safety guidelines.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, three years in a related role, and a Class A CDL with air brake endorsement within six months where applicable, plus must pass a background and drug screen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of experience in an industry related position or craft.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsement within six months of hire, when applicable.
• Must submit to/pass pre-employment background and drug screen.

Pay: $22.06/hour

Job Duties:

• Responsible for assisting the Foreman and/or Supervisors with project management to ensure that timely completion is accomplished.
• Operates specialized maintenance equipment and in the use of handheld equipment, hand tools, and other power equipment.
• Performs Asset and infrastructure improvements and manual labor as necessary.
• Performs daily maintenance according to equipment operators’ manual or standard operating procedure.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Three years of experience in an industry related position or craft.
• Additional qualification dependent on department needs; Must have obtained a Class A Commercial driver’s License with air brake endorsement within six months of hire, were applicable.
• Must submit to/pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
