The City of Manassas is seeking an Equipment Operator III to operate heavy equipment and perform manual tasks related to construction, maintenance and repair of City streets. This full-time role offers a stable career path and benefits.

The successful candidate will hold a valid Class A CDL, have four years of heavy equipment experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent. The position requires safety focus and the ability to work in emergency conditions as part of the team.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years’ experience in the operation of heavy equipment used in roadway repair, maintenance and installation.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A commercial driver’s license.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Mansioni

• Maneuvers heavy equipment and operates complex mechanisms for digging, earth moving, grading and loading to support construction and maintenance of city roads and related infrastructure.
• Operates excavator, track hoe, and backhoe for skilled digging and trenching work and on-site operations.
• Performs on-site driving and operates equipment on public roads while maintaining safety around workers and the public.
