Qualifications

• Assignment on some equipment may require a valid Louisiana Class A commercial driver's license and/or special endorsements

Responsibilities

• May serve as a crew leader or lead worker for specific project assignments; monitors and oversees assigned workers to ensure safety; directs work of crew to ensure that assigned tasks are completed.
• Operates heavy equipment to dig, move earth and materials, grade, and load for construction and maintenance of roads, utilities, and right-of-way; operates on-site and may drive on public roads; follows safety guidelines.
• Applicants must be able to operate a backhoe and dump truck.
