About Harris County Flood Control District: The Flood Control District aims to reduce flooding risk in Harris County, the third most populated county in the U.S., with over 4.7 million residents, including Houston. It oversees approximately 1,500 stormwater channels, over 60 detention basins covering more than 10,000 acres, and wetlands mitigation banks like Greens Bayou.
The Harris County Flood Control District seeks qualified candidates for the Equipment Operator III position. Reporting to the Crew Leader, you will operate various heavy, mid-sized, and small equipment, engines, attachments, and hand tools to maintain channels and bayous.
