City of Wichita seeks a skilled Equipment Operator to operate specialized automotive equipment and lead a small crew in maintenance tasks. The role involves driving trucks with attachments, performing repairs, and ensuring safety in diverse weather conditions.

The position requires a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement to be obtained within 120 days. Multiple locations are available, with hours Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, and a pre-employment screening process.

Qualifications

• Experience operating automotive or specialized equipment used in construction or maintenance.
• Ability to lead a small crew of helpers.
• Must obtain/maintain a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement within 120 days.

Responsabilités

• Operate tractors and trucks with attached equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Direct and participate in street and airport maintenance operations.
• May act as backup operator or crew leader for Equipment Operator III as needed.
• Ensure safe operation and adherence to procedures in various weather conditions.
