The City of Alexandria is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate light and medium equipment for streets, drainage, and city facilities. This role may lead a crew and oversee safety and task completion, with responsibilities across maintenance, repair, and construction projects in various city departments.

Required are a high school diploma or GED and a valid Louisiana CDL (Class B, with possible Class A endorsements).

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience operating medium-sized equipment.
• Valid Class B CDL; may require Tanker endorsement or Class A in some assignments.
• Must obtain Louisiana CDL Class A or B within five months and maintain it.

Mansioni

• Operate equipment and vehicles for maintenance, repair, and construction of city infrastructure.
• Serve as crew leader or lead worker on project assignments as needed.
• Maneuver around traffic, obstacles, and confined spaces safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on equipment.
