Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience operating heavy equipment.
• Valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL). Must obtain Class A CDL and endorsements as required.
• May require HazMat endorsement within 45 days of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Operates excavator, track hoe, and backhoe for digging, trenching, and utility projects with exact tolerances.
• Operates motor-grader, scraper, and excavator with blade to set gradients for roads and other projects.
• Responds to emergency calls during inclement weather or other emergencies.
• Performance testing will involve operating a mini excavator.
