Job summary

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, headquartered in Pennsylvania, seeks an Equipment Operator 1 to safely operate trucks and light construction equipment and support maintenance tasks in the Wyoming Valley area. The role reports to the Maintenance team and requires readiness for extended hours and on-call shifts.

You will work at the Wyoming Valley Maintenance Building in Pittston, PA 18640. Your responsibilities include equipment operation, basic servicing, and records maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid Class B CDL with N or X endorsement.
• CDL restrictions E, K, L/Z, or O disqualify certain localations or vehicle types.
• Must have a valid DOT medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of construction and maintenance equipment (trucks, tractors, loaders, rollers).
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Keep detailed records of equipment operation and maintenance.
• Work extended hours and be on call 24/7 for emergencies.
