Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world's largest HVAC company, is hiring in Dayton, OH. Starting wage $19.00 per hour for a daytime warehouse role with a Monday–Friday shift 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

You will operate basic warehouse equipment, perform safe handling, use WMS, and uphold 5S standards while contributing to a climate-controlled facility. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to lift, push, and/or pull materials and stand for long periods.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred but not required.
• Must be compliant with PPE and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety and operational policies and work instructions.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment per SOPs.
• Safely transport materials using powered industrial vehicles (PIV) and perform loading/unloading tasks.
• Conducts pre-operation inspections.
• Uses Warehouse Management System (WMS) and handheld scanners to complete daily tasks.
• Identifies quality issues and escalates accordingly.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas per 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Responsibilities:

• Follows all safety and operational policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Safely transport materials throughout the facility using Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV), including unloading, loading, put away, runner, and picking tasks.
• Conducts pre-operation inspections.
• Uses basic computer programs, Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions, and handheld scanners to complete daily tasks.
• Identifies quality issues and escalates accordingly.
• Demonstrates increasing responsibility for equipment operation and types of equipment used.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
