The position is full-time, requires 40+ hours weekly, and prefers candidates with bulldozer/excavator experience and a valid driver’s license. Safety-focused and able to work in a team are essential traits.

Job description

Hours: Monday - Friday 6am-6pm

Pay: $23-$26 an hour

Martin Mariettais currently looking for a motivated individual to join ourKansas Grading Team. This position will have the opportunity to operate large equipment like the 374 Cat Excavator or D8 Cat bull dozer removing overburden in different quarries around Kansas. This position will be based out of Leavenworth, KS but will travel around to locations near Onaga, St. Mary's, and Soldier Kansas to move dirt and shale in the mining process.

Essential Functions

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel culture

• Inspect equipment for signs of wear

• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment

• Work in a team environment

• Clean work areas

• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

• Proper wear of personal protective equipment

• Notify supervisors of repairs needed

• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements

• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs

• Perform duties with minimum supervision

Preferred Education and Experience
