Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• 1+ years related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Hours: Monday - Friday 6am-6pm

Pay: $23-$26 an hour

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated individual to join our Kansas Grading Team. This position will have the opportunity to operate large equipment like the 374 Cat Excavator or D8 Cat bull dozer removing overburden in different quarries around Kansas. This position will be based out of Leavenworth, KS but will travel around to locations near Onaga, St. Mary’s, and Soldier Kansas to move dirt and shale in the mining process.

Essential Functions

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture

• Inspect equipment for signs of wear

• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment

• Work in a team environment

• Clean work areas

• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

• Proper wear of personal protective equipment

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Preferred Education and Experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Effective verbal communication

Physical Abilities

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round

• General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching with hands and arms, and handling materials
